Eye-SCOR: A Supply Chain Operations Reference-Based Framework for Smart Eye Status Monitoring Using System Dynamics Modeling

This work is a unique integration of three different areas, including smart eye status monitoring, supply chain operations reference (SCOR), and system dynamics, to explore the dynamics network eye/vision monitoring systems. Chronic diseases such as glaucoma affect millions individuals worldwide and, if left untreated, can lead irreversible vision loss. Nearly half affected population unaware condition be informed with frequent, accessible tests. Tonometry conventional clinical method used in healthcare settings determine intraocular pressure (IOP) level for evaluating risk glaucoma. There are currently very few (under development) non-contact non-invasive methods using smartphones IOP and/or existence other eye-related conveniently at home. With overall goal improving health, well-being, sustainability, this paper proposes Eye-SCOR: (SCOR)-based framework evaluate effectiveness smartphone-based apps. The proposed designed modeling subset new causal model. model includes interaction/activities between main players enablers network, namely suppliers/service providers, smartphone app/device factors, customers, professionals, well cash information flow. has been tested under various scenarios settings. Simulation results reveal show that device/app factors directly increases efficiency/Eye-SCOR level. serves an important step towards understanding performance
